**1. Pet Owner Cancellations**

__When a pet owner cancels a paid booking, the following applies:__

* **Cancellation Process**: Pet owners can cancel their paid bookings directly through the Booking details page. This action will generate a request for our Customer Service team to process.
* **Fee and Refund Transparency**: Before cancellation, owners will see a breakdown of fees and the expected refund amount. This allows them to make an informed decision based on the cancellation policy.

**2. Pet Sitter Cancellations**

__If you need to cancel a paid booking, follow these guidelines:__

* **Advance Notice**: Provide as much notice as possible to minimize inconvenience for the pet owner. Giving ample notice helps maintain trust and professionalism.
* **Cancellation Impact**: Canceling a paid booking can impact your reputation and may result in penalties or affect your booking history.
* **Cancellation Reasons**: Clearly communicate the reason for the cancellation to the pet owner to ensure transparency.

__If you need to cancel a paid booking, follow these steps:__

* **Initiate Cancellation**: You can cancel a paid booking directly through the Booking details page. This will also create a request for our Customer Service team to handle.
* **Cancellation Details**: Provide a reason for the cancellation and a brief description of why you are canceling.
* **Review and Request**: An estimated refund breakdown will be shown. If the cancellation occurs within your cancellation policy, you may offer a partial refund or waive the policy as needed. The Customer Service team will finalize the request, and the pet owner should receive their refund within 7 days (if applicable).

**3. How to Cancel a Paid Booking**

__To cancel a paid booking, follow these steps:__


1. **Log In to Your Mad Paws Account**
   * Access the Mad Paws website or app.
   * Enter your login credentials and click “Log In.”
2. **Navigate to Your Bookings**
   * Go to the “Bookings” section on your dashboard.
3. **Select the Booking to Cancel**
   * Choose the paid booking you wish to cancel.
4. **Initiate the Cancellation**
   * At the bottom of the booking details page, click the “Cancel Booking” button.
5. **Complete Cancellation Reason**
   * Select a reason for the cancellation and briefly describe why you or the pet owner are canceling.
6. **Review and Request**
   * Review the estimated refund breakdown and submit the cancellation request. You will be advised of any applicable fees and potential partial refunds.
