# What prices should I charge for my services?

At Mad Paws, our Pet Sitters have the choice to set their prices as they see fit. What we recommend is that you search your local area on Mad Paws and have a look at what the Pet Sitters closest to you are charging and go from there.

Here are some examples of the price ranges for [each service](/articles/435500d6-f2b1-4d14-8c82-ef7b1ee912f0) that Mad Paws' offers: 

-   **Pet Hosting** = $30-40 per night
-   **Pet Sitting** \= $35-45 per night
-   **Day Care** \= $30-40 per day
-   **House Visits** \= $20-30 per visit 
-   **Dog Walking** \= $20-30 per walk
-   **Grooming** = $50-60 per groom
-   **Dog Training** = $50-60 per session
-   **Pick Up / Drop Off** = $10-15 each way (depending on distance)

If you are just starting out as a Pet Sitter on Mad Paws, you may want to put your prices slightly lower than your local area average as this will help you get some initial bookings. Once you have a few reviews you can then increase your prices as you see fit. 

Many Sitters will increase their prices over busy periods, we usually see Sitters increase their prices by 10-20% over the busy seasons (such as Christmas, Easter and school holidays). We also encourage you to always discuss the price with the Pet Owner, during a [Meet and Greet](/articles/756cd43e-6b5f-4a15-9f0d-4e3522e90fef), just to ensure that everybody is happy and confident to go ahead with the booking at the agreed price. If you ever need to change the price that has been automatically calculated, you can do this by "Edit Booking".
