# Can I meet a Pet Sitter before agreeing to a booking with them?

At Mad Paws we know how hard it is to leave your pet in the care of someone else. As such, it's vital to be able to feel reassured that they are a perfect match for your pet.


We really encourage our Pet Sitters to arrange a **Meet and Greet,** whereby they can meet the pet and ensure that you, as a Pet Owner, feel comfortable that they are able to provide the level of care requested. They are even prompted during the booking process **before they approve the booking**, to commence a Meet and Greet.


If they do not mention a Meet and Greet, feel free to suggest one to the Pet Sitter. You can do this when you are messaging them to organise the booking. 


### **Meet and Greet Information Sheet**

In order to ensure that your Meet and Greet goes smoothly and that you have addressed all aspects of your pet's care, we have created a Meet and Greet Information Sheet. This sheet covers important details such as the pet's basic needs, including food, toys, and hygiene items, which are typically provided by the Pet Owner. We recommend filling out this sheet before your meeting with the Pet Sitter and going through each point together to ensure that they are aware of all expectations.

### **Pet Sitting Checklist**

Is the Pet Sitter staying at your home? If so, we have attached a Pet Sitting Checklist. This will let your Sitter know if you require them to complete any additional tasks whilst you're away, such as watering plants or taking out the bins.

You can also copy these forms and leave them with the Sitter if you decide to proceed with the booking. This will allow the Pet Sitter to review it whilst you’re away.

Is the pet stay going to be long-term? If so, we recommend your pet does a short overnight stay leading up to the start of the long booking. This is a great way to make sure that the pet will settle in well with the Pet Sitter. This is the most important factor when it comes to having a successful booking.
