A meet-and-greet session is an essential step in ensuring a smooth transition for your pet when you hire a new sitter. Here’s a brief guide on how to make the most of this important meeting:

### **1. Schedule the Meeting**

Arrange a convenient time for both you and the sitter to meet, ideally before you need their services. This allows your pet to get familiar with the sitter and helps you gauge their suitability.

### **2. Prepare Your Pet**

* **Bring Essentials**: Have your pet’s favorite toys, food, and any other items they might need during the meet-and-greet.
* **Calm Environment**: Choose a relaxed setting where your pet feels comfortable, whether that’s at your home or a neutral location.

### **3. Introduce the Sitter**

* **Observe Interactions**: Watch how your pet reacts to the sitter and how the sitter interacts with your pet. Look for signs of comfort or stress.
* **Discuss Care Routine**: Go over your pet’s daily routine, feeding instructions, and any special needs. Provide clear instructions and answer any questions the sitter might have.

### **4. Ask Questions**

* **Experience**: Inquire about the sitter’s experience and how they handle specific situations.
* **Emergency Procedures**: Discuss their approach to emergencies and ensure they know how to contact you if needed.
